Andre R. Nunn, M.D.

A native of Alabama, Dr. Nunn attended medical school at the University of Alabama, followed by internships and a residency in general surgery at Marshall University School of Medicine in West Virginia.  He is board certified by the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Nunn relocated to Michigan in 1995 and initially established a private practice in Detroit, which he subsequently moved to Ypsilanti in 2008.  In 2016, Dr. Nunn established a second office in Bingham Farms, MI.  He has been an early adopter of minimally invasive weight management procedures, including the Lap-Band®, and he is one of the physicians to complete early certification in gastric balloon procedures.  Designed as a six-month intervention, the gastric balloon is emplaced comfortably in a quick procedure with no downtime.  Dr. Nunn supports his patients seeking sustainable weight loss and improved overall health with in-practice nutritional and exercise counseling capabilities.
